Given the record-smashing success of The Avengers, it is easy to see why Hollywood is caught up in only in the initial stages of superhero fever: action movies are one, big cash printing press for the movie industry. Thus, it is no surprise at all that both Wonder Woman and Justice League have found screenwriters and are moving closer and closer to setting production dates.
Michael Goldenberg (The Green Lantern) and Will Beall (Gangster Squad) have been hired to write the screenplays for Wonder Woman and Justice League respectively. Both have a knack for producing action movies that are more than just mindless explosions, and no doubt they will feel a bit of friendly competition as they race to complete scripts that could transform into goldmines.
Again, while neither production nor release dates have been set for either film, look for them to pop up late next year or sometime in 2014. In the meantime, if you need an action hero fix, then head for the theaters to see The Avengers or wait one more month for the highly-anticipated final chapter of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy: The Dark Knight Rises.
