Luke Evans chatted up Total Film on his experience playing Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson’s highly anticipated new movie The Hobbit.
Alas, Evans remains as tight lipped as ever about the epic tale of Bilbo Baggins. He admits that “that is slightly more about Bard in the movie than in the novel,” but can only elaborate on that point by stating that Bard will “shoot a lot of arrows.”
Evans does take a tiny bit more liberty in terms of describing the experience of taking part in what is sure to be one of the top action movies of all time. Evans describes his first time on set as “a very special moment,” an experience that was both sublime and humbling. But other than allusions to costumes and feelings, his lips remain relatively sealed.
When actors play coy about their films than it only adds to the mystique of the movie. The Hobbit is already on track to be one of the best new movies of 2012, and interviews like Evans’ only serves to further whet the movie lover’s apetite.
